PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is one of the popular shooting games available right now. Its popularity increased further when the game is made available to mobile devices, which is PUBG Mobile. It’s a multiplayer survival shooter game where you and 100 other players are taken to a remote island and battle it out for survival. The goal of the battle is to become the sole survivor.

It sounds easy enough but it's not. The battle will begin with all players armed with nothing but the clothes that their avatar is wearing and their fists. If you are someone who hasn’t played PUBG or any similar game, then this could be a very challenging game at the start since you won’t know what you will do. To help you with that, this article will provide some tips for beginners to help them know what to do and play PUBG Mobile better.

What Beginners Need To Do In PUBG Mobile

Playing PUBG Mobile is a lot of fun, but it can be frustrating if you are new to the game and don’t know what to do. Instead of being able to enjoy the game, having a chance to win, you always end up as one of several players who would usually die first in the battle. This is the plight of most beginners to the game or even to the game genre since it’s a bit unusual if you look at it. Riding a plane and then parachuting to the island and you don’t have anything on you except your fists.

And then exploring the island to look for weapons and armor to use so you can fight and survive against other players. To help you properly achieve that, here are some tips that can help you survive in the early parts of the game to give you a chance to win in the end

  • Knowing Where To Land – The very first tip you need to hear as a beginner is to know where you need to land once you parachuted off the plane. This is one of the most important things that will determine whether you will survive or die in the first few minutes upon landing. The usual rule in choosing a landing spot is to always go near areas where you can easily find weapons, armor, and items. These are areas near buildings and homes. Of course, you also have to consider areas where you will encounter the least number of players, so going for an area with many houses at the start might not be a good idea since that’s where many players will go. Finding the right balance between finding loot and avoiding players will be key to your early-game survival. This is why you should at least have an idea of the map that you will be playing in so you know where you need to go for gear.
  • Avoid Engaging Enemies In The Beginning – Another tip that you need to know is to avoid the mistakes that many beginners make in the game, and that is to hunt enemies and try to kill them. Remember, PUBG is a survival shooting game, which means your first goal is to survive and not kill enemies. Once you acquire a weapon, don’t try to hunt other players. Try to acquire more weapons and items first until you can’t carry anymore. Don’t worry about kills since you will encounter other players along the way. At least with more weapons, armor, and items, you are well-prepared to deal with them and even survive the encounter.
  • Don’t Attack Enemies Unless You Are In Range – When it comes to finally attack enemies, remember that the weapons you are using have limited range. This means that you should not try to shoot them if they are out of range. This will usually take some time to get to know, but certain weapons like the shotgun will have a shorter range. So if you’re equipped with a shotgun, don’t try to use it to snipe, opponents, since it’s not built for that. Not only will you waste bullets, but you’re also giving your position to other players since they will hear the sound of your gun and might even ambush you.
  • Try to Diversify Your Weapons as Possible – Carrying mostly shotguns will not be a good idea since you limit your range capacity. You will have a problem dealing with enemies who are using rifles since you will have to get close first to deal actual damage. So try to diversify the weapons that you are carrying. If possible having a rifle and a shotgun is the ideal weapon to hold. You have a weapon that can deal with long-range enemies and a powerful weapon to deal with close-range enemies.
  • Be Always On The Move – Though camping might be a good strategy to help you survive, you cannot do it the entire game since PUBG Mobile shrinks the playable area of the map. If you get caught on the blue beam, it will deplete your health and kill you. So always try to be on the move, be aware of the available playable area on the map, and make sure you are always near it.
